I found out about NewHomePrograms.com and Jose Mejia through one of my longtime friends and a church member. I heard rave reviews, and knew that my husband and I wanted to start the process. I repeat the PROCESS. I contacted NewHomePrograms.com and spoke with Jose Mejia in November of 2011; I had an actual face to face with him in January 2012. I was blown away; he was efficient, thorough, and well informed. This was very satisfying because often times you have referrals, and they don’t work out as they worked out for family or friends, but this was totally opposite. I began the process cleaning up the credit, sending out the papers, and emails. I was DETERMINED. We started looking at homes around April, and found the house that I wanted in May. Unfortunately, at the time it was not in our budget, oh No! I began to often think that this was not our time. God saw otherwise. After looking at short sales, resales, and other homes, I just was not happy like I was the first time that I saw my home in May 2012. I remember, vividly, driving back out to the area and going to meet with the sales agent and Jose, and she stated “this is the only house in the community I can’t sell.” My husband responded “this is our house and that is why you can’t sale it.” I looked at him in awe at his conviction, and stood behind his words. What do you know a quick call to her boss, and the price was right in our budget. Wow look at GOD. The real PROCESS started; bank checks, job checks, everything you name it check, even a sample of blood from your first born, LOL. At this time I was so overwhelmed with papers, emails, and phone calls that I was just ready for the process to be over. After doing everything multiple times, we were told we were not approved for the initial loan, and had to come up with 3.5%. My husband and I had not put away that much and the doubt was starting to rear its ugly head. I called Jose; he immediately reviewed some rules for the loan and told me that he would handle it. I said yes, but in the back of my head I was beginning to doubt and to think that my dream house was up for grabs. In the middle of this process, I lost my uncle unexpectedly. In the midst of all of this, GOD had a plan that I could not draw up better. It was now August and I had hopes of closing before school started so that I could have my children acclimated to the school system, that didn’t happen. Then one day August 15, 2012 I got the call “the house is yours, when can you close?” I immediately fell down on my knees and began to cry and rejoice for what God had done for my family and me. I set the date for August 24, 2012, but was called back, “Can you do it this Friday?” Just like that, on August 17, 2012 my husband and I became official HOMEOWNERS. We are so grateful for Jose being in our lives through this process. His emails, texts, and calls were always right on time. I have recommended so many people to NewHomePrograms.com and don’t think they will be disappointed. We will rejoice for this, our TESTimony. Thank you guys The Jones Family
Newhomeprograms.com Broker/Owner Milly Kammerdiener appears in the April edition of Small Business Today. She is driven by faith, and the result is new homes for many who thought they could never qualify. A Realtor® just over two years, rising star Milly Kammerdiener, has closed more than $7 Million dollars in real estate while building up a national real estate brokerage. “The best part of this job and the reason I wanted to become a Realtor®, is seeing the joy that owning a home brings to people”, she said. “I am from Venezuela, and I believe in the American dream. This motivates me, not the money. Recently this year, she and her husband Cory have opened their second brokerage office which serves the needs of first-time home buyers in Houston, TX and now in Tampa, FL. “My finance background has helped me the most. I tell them it isn’t me; it is God.” It would seem that Milly is the instrument used by God to make dreams come true.
With previous hopes of studying medicine, she now sees that real estate is her calling to serve God while helping others. Couple provides homes and haven
by VALERIE SWEETEN , CHRONICLE CORRESPONDENT | August 9, 2011 3:30 pm
The housing market is a tough ride during these economic times, but Cory and Milly Kammerdiener are taking their real estate business on a different path with their approach to first-time buyers. NewHomePrograms.com, the Christian-based real estate brokerage firm they founded, assists first-time home buyers with personal attention and, if needed, with a free credit-enhancement program before attacking the house-purchasing process. The business started as a website in 2005 and was established as a real estate corporation in February 2010. The website’s success is evident in the Houston real estate market. According to Cory Kammerdiener, the site has grown from 1,800 visitors per month to over 9,000 per month in a one-year period. They also celebrated their first anniversary in their new offices at 16300 Kuykendahl Road in Spring.
Gratitude and faith
The Kammerdieners attribute their success to God. In addition to operating their real estate venture, they also serve as part-time hosts and music ministers for the Great Final Harvest of God World Outreach Ministries, which is led and ministered by Milly’s father, Francis Baillie. Their 400-square-foot conference room is converted into a place of worship that welcomes former clients, friends and visitors three times a week. On Tuesdays, the Kammerdieners host Bible Study; on Thursdays, there is prayer service; and on Sundays, a praise-and-worship service with Baillie. Incorporating their love for service and helping others has been an easy task, they both said. Yvonne Laredo, who had never owned a home, watched as her current home in Spring was built from the ground up. The dream was never reachable, she said, until she met the Kammerdieners. Her family couldn’t be happier living in a neighborhood with good schools and a community pool. Overcoming the challenge of not-so-perfect credit was possible with the Kammerdieners’ guidance. Once that was accomplished, the house shopping began. She moved into her home in October 2009. “My family has a home,” she said. “They did not treat us like other real estate agents — there is nothing like that. The impossible became possible. It wasn’t a maybe with them. It was ‘This is what we do.'” Laredo described the Kammerdieners as genuine and uplifting. “It took months, but we were always in conversation,” Laredo said. “I couldn’t believe it. It’s a blessing.”
A growing partnership
The couple met in 2006 and then married in 2007. Milly Kammerdiener, a Venezuelan native who is the oldest of four children, came to The Woodlands with her family from California and built a career with the Woodlands Development Co. She is a 2009 graduate of the Champions School of Real Estate. Cory Kammerdiener is a U.S. Navy veteran who served more than eight years of active duty and more than four years in the reserves. He graduated from Champions School of Real Estate in 2004 after starting a career in the housing industry with Royce Builders in 2003. Building a business and church worship team has been a journey in self-discovery and enlightenment, said Milly Kammerdiener “This has been so rewarding. We’re helping people achieve their dreams and leave a legacy to their family” she said. “I’ve gained a lot of knowledge. I love what I do.” People have responded to her firm’s credit enhancement program, she said. She is proud that it is based in Christianity. “I’m a preacher’s kid, and we want people to know we are a Christian real estate company. I have something to give and that’s great,” she said. Cory Kammerdiener has also been surprised by their growth, but still looks to the future of both the company and the ministry. “Our goal is to build this company as an army of evangelists, while helping people get a home. I knew we had a strategy for times like these,” he said. For more information, visit www.newhomeprograms.com.
