Hi my name is Gabrielle Blow. My daughter and I have recently been blessed with our very first new home. the Harris County grant for $14,200 and a $1,000 grant from MCC. This journey was not easy , because unlike most families, I'm a single parent working a full time job, going to school full time and raising my 7year old daughter on my own. During the process of the home buying I was a temporary employee at my job and didn't see how I was going to be able to afford a new home, But by the GOOD grace of God he sent me an angel by the name of Latoya  Mack. She was able to give me full knowledge of the process answer all my questions and concerns to ensure me that God has sent me to her for a reason and it was to own my own home this year.. She nurtured me thru the credit enhancement process, that allowed me to dispute and settle a lot of major debts. She helped me gain a better understanding of the government grants that are designed to help single individuals like me and most of all did this all with a terrific work ethic and remained a positive attitude at all times.

What God has for me is really for me!! Through out this process I have became a full time employee ,passing Junior in college and I'm so grateful to have had the pleasure to work with such a great company that has great people on their team. My daughter and I are truly blessed and enjoying our new home, new friends, and community.

There truly is not enough space here to detail all that we experienced buying our first home together. We met Jose in October 2011 after being referred to Newhomeprograms.com by a close friend. That first night we met Jose we knew we were in the right place. We spent a few hours talking and getting to know each other before getting into the details of the type of home we were searching for. We also shared the financial plan the Lord had given us to follow in order to be in a good space to purchase a home. One of the things we needed from Jose was guidance on current real estate guidelines with regards to credit scores and downpayment. Jose was able to answer all of our questions regarding short sales and outlined the positive as well as the challenging aspects of purchasing a home that is a short sale. To complicate matters just a bit more the listing party was put of state. With the information provided regarding short sales we were comfortable placing an offer.

That is when things began to get interesting. During the summer months I entered the last trimester of pregnancy. Through the various hold ups with the short sale Jose continued to show us more properties with the goal of getting us into a home prior to the September birth of our third child. In addition he continued to keep tabs on the short sale offer we placed. Jose was able to assist us in comparing the short sale with traditional and Fannie Mae Homepath properties in regards to taxes, payments and keeping in mind our current school district. We placed offers on a few other properties and even found ourselves in a multiple offer situation. In each of the home buying scenarios Jose was able to provide support, guidance and facts about each property to help us look beyond the emotion of buying a home to make the best decision.

Although we did not get into our home prior to the birth of our daughter we did get into the right home, the home God had for us. Wow how can we start this. Terri McCormack she is an angel she really help me and my fiancé Ruben in finding the home we are in right now. A brand new home should I say!!!!

The process was not easy but with her by our side she did awesome. We were both new at all this (i am 21 and he is 22) so things were hard to understand but Terri was there to help us at any time of the day and week! There were moments my worries took over me and there was Terri with positive feedback. I really consider her more a friend than my realtor just because she was that good!!! God took care of us when we almost lost everything. Our faith was all that we had. This house was a blessing God was with us from the very start.
